Goals
• To get a positive and fully sensitized state, needs
based and inclusive program and activities, obligatory laws
which will be reviewed when necessary, policies, rules,
regulations and their effective implementation.
• To increase capacity of all DPOs in management,
leadership, advocacy and local resource mobilization within
an active and effective network of NFDN to fight for the
right and dignity of people with disability.
• To get a cooperative society with positive attitudes
towards People With Disabilities
FIVE YEARS GOALS OF NFDN
1. Advocacy, Awareness and Sensitization
• Get effective implementation of new disability
policy paper and plan of action.
• To get right based and obligatory Disabled Welfare
And Protection Act amended and implemented effectively.
• To fully incorporate the effective implementation
of UN Standard Rules on Opportunities Equalization for the
Persons with Disability.
• Integration of disability, as an agenda of human
right and development, in the key strategy of INGOs working
in development and human rights field.
• Conduct sensitization program in 75 districts focusing
to the main stakeholders.
• Production, distribution and presentation of social
awareness materials and to influence stakeholders to do
the same.
• To get 25 public places physically barrier free
within 5 years.
2. Capacity Building and Networking
• Expansion of NFDN member organizations in 75 districts
• To increase the capacity of 50 DPOs from different
regions, in organizational management, leadership, advocacy
and local resource mobilization through different types
of trainings and technical support
• To obtain five active and well managed regional
offices with at least basic physical support and one regional
coordinator each.
• Strengthen 12 prioritized areas of capacity identified
from the 3 days Organizational Assessment
• Develop NFDN as a reliable resource centre about
disability
• Organization of three international level workshops
about disability.
• Establishment of 15 district coordination committees
in 15 districts.
