NFDN holds full board meeting

National Federation of the Disabled Nepal held its second full board meeting of newly elected board on 29th Magh (February 12, 2016) at Kathmandu. The meeting ended up with some key decisions. According to the statute of NFDN, the meeting constituted a central working committee comprising of 12 members which is needed to make various operational decisions for day to day activities for the coming three years terms. Similarly, the board meeting decided to nominate 3 persons in the central board.

According to the statute of NFDN, out of 39 board members 34 are elected and 5 are nominated. Still two members are yet to be nominated to make the board a complete one. The newly nominated members are Ms. Jamuna Titung-Makwanpur, Mr. Nabin Dhungel – Panchthar and Mr. Matrika Devkota – from Kathmandu. The meeting also passed a three years road map with different agendas on disability rights to work in the coming three years. The road map will be finalized soon after incorporating the feedback given by the members during the board meetings.

This was the second board meeting of newly elected board. The first meeting was held in Pokhara on Paush 14, 2072 (December 29th 2015) right after the election.
