  • Statement from Mr. Mitra Lal Sharma, the president, on the Completion of One Year Period of the Elected Federal Committee

    Namaste and greetings to All the member organizations, organizations working for the rights of persons with disabilities, Nepal Government, national and international partner organizations, media, all persons with disabilities, family members and all stakeholders.  

    The present federal committee has been elected from the general assembly of NFDN held in Biratnagar dated April 8th and 9th, 2019 for the three years tenure which completed its one year of the period on the last 8th April 2020. On this occasion, I am delighted to share some important progress and achievements with you all.

  • A General Guidelines for Persons with Disabilities and All Stakeholders on Disability Inclusive Response Against COVID-19 Pandemic.

    National Federation of the Disabled Nepal (NFD-N) is happy to share general guidelines and recommendations for persons with disabilities, caretakers, parents, Disabled Peoples Organizations, service provides, government institutions, organizations working on disability issues and all relevant stakeholders on the disability-inclusive response against COVID-19 pandemic. This guideline has been developed by NFD-N in the context of Nepal based on the organizational experience of NFD-N, official information provided by WHO, official information provided by Nepal Government and the recommendations from International Disability Alliance (IDA) on COVID-19. We expect that this guideline would be helpful for all stakeholders to address the issues of persons with disabilities in all preparatory works and responses against COVID-19 in Nepal.
