National Federation of the Disabled Nepal (NFDN) is the national umbrella organization of persons with disabilities representing more than 330 member organizations throughout the country. As the pioneer of the disability rights movement in Nepal NFDN has been working in disability rights promotion since 1993 with its key working strategy – Advocacy, Awareness, Capacity Building, and Networking & Collaboration.
NFDN is going to implement a project “Disability and SGBV – Building Capacities Against Sexual and Gender Based Violence in Nepal” in partnership with MyRight in Nepal and seeking qualified personnel for the position of Project Coordinator and Project Assistant to work in Kathmandu based federal office of NFDN. National Federation of the Disabled Nepal (NFD-N) is happy to share general guidelines and recommendations for persons with disabilities, caretakers, parents, Disabled Peoples Organizations, service provides, government institutions, organizations working on disability issues and all relevant stakeholders on the disability-inclusive response against COVID-19 pandemic. This guideline has been developed by NFD-N in the context of Nepal based on the organizational experience of NFD-N, official information provided by WHO, official information provided by Nepal Government and the recommendations from International Disability Alliance (IDA) on COVID-19. We expect that this guideline would be helpful for all stakeholders to address the issues of persons with disabilities in all preparatory works and responses against COVID-19 in Nepal.
