Global Disability Summit 2025: unique approach for embracing Nepali Disability movement within Global Network
The Global Disability Summit 2025 in Berlin marked a significant step forward for disability inclusion, with over 4,700 participants and strong leadership from Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) worldwide, including Nepal. Despite the Government of Nepal not making official commitments, Nepali OPDs actively shaped the Summit’s outcomes, notably through joint pledges to advance inclusive education and implement the Amman-Berlin Declaration.
