Research on implementation status of CRPD and produce Civil Society Report “Shadow Report” from Nepal.

National Federation of the Disabled Nepal (NFDN) is the umbrella body of organisations of persons with disabilities (OPD), legally registered in 1993 under Institutional Enrollment Act. This is non-governmental, non-profit making and networking organization represents over 400-member organizations working for promoting the rights of persons with disabilities across the country. There is four pillar strategic  priority of NFDN  such as Advocacy, Awareness raising/ sensitization, Capacity building, Networking & Collaboration.

Disability is a universal element of human condition, though persons with disabilities are kept at the bottom of the development agenda. The response of Government to this issue are administratively inconsistent which has been reflected in the state report presented by the Government in CRPD committee. Upon realization of an urgent need for carrying out the research on the implementation status of CRPD and the policy framework in disability in Nepal, NFDN has planned to carry out research to review and analyze the implementation of CRPD and existing policy framework. Therefore, NFDN  is looking for eligible service provider/consultants for the consultancy services for CRPD CSO report preparation.

Interested individual/consultants or firm can submit proposal (technical and financial) along with CVs of all team members, cover letter expressing interest and all legal documents at NFDN Federal office Ratopul or via email admin@nfdn.org.np  no later than 3 September 2023. NFDN reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify the whole selection process and reject any proposal without specifying any reasons whatsoever.
