National Federation of the Disabled Nepal (NFDN) is the national umbrella organization of persons with disabilities representing more than 330 member organizations throughout the country. As the pioneer of the disability rights movement in Nepal NFDN has been working in disability rights promotion since 1993 with its key working strategy – Advocacy, Awareness, Capacity Building, and Networking & Collaboration.
NFDN is going to implement a project “Disability and SGBV – Building Capacities Against Sexual and Gender Based Violence in Nepal” in partnership with MyRight in Nepal and seeking qualified personnel for the position of Project Coordinator and Project Assistant to work in Kathmandu based federal office of NFDN. राष्ट्रिय परिचय पत्र तथा पञ्जीकरण बिभागको मिति २०७७ जेष्ठ २८ च नं १५७२ को पत्रअनुसार साबिक बमोजिम सामाजिक सुरक्षा भत्ता प्राप्त गरिरहेका अति अशक्त अपाङ्गता ( ख वर्गको अपाङ्गता परिचय) पत्र प्राप्त भएका लाभग्राहीलाई मासिक रु १६००। का दरले चालु आ.व. को तेश्रो चौमासिक २०७६ चैत्रदेखी २०७७ असार सम्म को लागि हुन आउने रकम चालु आ.व. २०७६/२०७७ को सामाजिक सुरक्षा भत्ता शीर्षकमा बिनियोजित बजेटबाट खर्च लेख्ने गरी आर्थिक सहायता उपलब्ध गराउने भनी सबै स्थानीय तहलाई परिपत्र गरिएको अवस्था छ ।
The National Federation of Disabled Nepal (NFDN) conducted a rapid assessment to assess the impact of Covid-19 Pandemic and lockdown on persons with disabilities. This assessment has tried to explore the problem issues and barriers of persons with disabilities under the situation of lockdown. It is expected that this report would be helpful to the government and all other relevant stakeholders and humanitarian organizations to take action on addressing the issues of persons with disabilities for fighting against COVID-19 pandemic. This assessment has been carried out after 21 days of lockdown.
